AirTalk On the Road

Afghanistan: The Way Forward

AirTalk goes on the road to stage our own Afghan summit... and you're invited.

We are now into year nine of the war in Afghanistan. The Taliban is out of power but still wreaks havoc, and the 38,000 U-S soldiers fighting the war face a rising death toll. Buffeted by the complex political and military situation in the region and the debate at home, President Obama faces one of the toughest decisions of his young presidency as he tries to determine the way forward in Afghanistan.

Join us for a special "AirTalk on the Road" broadcast, Wednesday, November 11 at 7 pm at the Autry National Center for an in-depth discussion. KPCC’s AirTalk Host Larry Mantle moderates a panel of experts, including Congressman Adam B. Schiff (D-CA); Kalev Sepp, professor at the Naval Postgraduate School; and Reza Aslan, internationally acclaimed author of No God But God and How to Win a Cosmic War.

The program will be broadcast on 89.3 KPCC-FM on Thursday, November 12th at 11:00am.

This program is presented in conjunction with Community Advocates Inc, a civil rights and social criticism organization based in Los Angeles and will be taped at the Autry National Center in Griffith Park, 4700 Western Heritage Way, Los Angeles, CA, 90027-1462. [Map & Directions]
