Blogger and music guy, Alan Graham, has been busy building scary robots to control his entire home. In the article over at Boing Boing, Graham talks about his need for automation, particularly when he's on vacation, and how easy it is with the iPad. Why wasn't this done earlier with other tablet devices? Well, Graham used his Nokia, iPhone, and touch monitors in the past, but his brief overview of what he was able to do with this new piece of technology is pretty impressive.
I'm thinking about getting some chickens and setting up an automated chicken coop outside. All the technology that is required, other than the obvious hardware pieces, is an automatic curtain control.
Does anyone else automate their home to make their lives easier?
