Another weekend, another AYSO game.
I love soccer. And I love watching my kid and his friends learn the game.
But I don't love the obligatory "snack bag" that each player gets after the game.
If you're not aware of this little "tradition", let me fill you in.
The kids spend 30 minutes to an hour running around a field. At the end of the game they're given a bag filled with cookies, chips or some kind of "fruit" roll up.
I find this routine completely baffling.
Why do we reward our kids for exercising by handing them a bag of processed, fructose-laden goodies?
On Mondays we'll air our regular "Parenting on the Edge" segment.
