Early results in LA County races

Deputy Assessor John Noguez is the early leader to replace retiring county assessor Rick Auerbach.

Noguez, who won Auerbach’s endorsement, has 28.45 percent of the vote, a local wire service reported. That puts him ahead of 13 rivals including John Wong, chairman of the county assessment appeals board, and John Loew, another deputy assessor. CBS has more on that race.

Incumbent county supervisors Gloria Molina and Zev Yaroslavsky both ran unopposed, and are safe in their re-election bids. So is Sheriff Lee Baca.
