Most recently in our fair city of Los Angeles to promote healthy food in low-income areas, First Lady Michelle Obama recognized the 2-year anniversary of her “Let’s Move” program at Disney’s “Magic of Healthy Living” event last weekend.

Alongside a group of Disney Channel stars like Kelsey Chow and choreographer Rosereo McCoy, Mrs. Obama showed off some fancy dance moves like “The Platypus Walk” for the family-friendly audience that reached upwards to 1,500 people.

Five activity stations were set up for kids to get their own sweat on, with pro athletes leading soccer drills, wind sprints and tennis serves. Florida senator Bill Nelson showed his personal commitment to fitness by hitting the stage and peeling off 50 straight push-ups.

The day before the First Lady’s Disney appearance, she was at a Dallas elementary school promoting healthy living with a cooking contest with Tom Colicchio, host of Bravo Channel’s hit show “Top Shelf.”
