The Station Fire has grown to over 140,000 acres. A U.S. Forest Service incident commander told KPCC's Steve Julian that he was worried about the areas above Pasadena, Arcadia, and Sierra Madre. They're trying to keep the fire as far away from those populated areas as possible. Today they're using water-dropping aircraft as much as possible.
On Mt. Wilson, there's a lot of smoke in the air, but little flame. The backfires have been completed, though crews today may be cutting brush.
