• Fire was initially reported yesterday 3 p.m.
• 1,400 Acres (2 square miles)
• 25% contained
• 25 homes destroyed
• About 800 firefighters on scene

In the southern portion of the Sequoia National Forest near Kernville

• Started Monday
• 15,600 acres (20+ square miles)
• 15% contained
• 8 homes and 6 out-buildings destroyed, 1,200 homes threatened
• Residents of homes in Camp Owens allowed to return
• 2 firefighters have received minor injuries
