2 fires break out near Antelope Valley Freeway
Two brush fires broke out today on both sides of the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway in Agua Dulce, prompting the evacuation of a nearby fire camp, said Los Angeles County Fire Inspector Sam Padilla. The fires were reported just before 3 p.m.
Briggs Fire
- South of the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway near Soledad Canyon Road
- Has grown to about 150 acres.
- Threatening fire camp 11, which is being evacuated
- 0 percent containment
Crown Fire
- North of Sierra Highway at Anthony Road near Agua Dulce
- Has grown to about 500 acres.
- Around 100-200 personnel are on the scene
- No information was available regarding any threat to homes or structures
- 0 percent containment
