A Glendale City Councilman Is Hopping Mad
Glendale police thought they had a clever way to catch errant drivers at crosswalks. Bunny costumes! Earlier this week one officer wore the cutesy Easter outfit , and drivers who didn't yield to the furry pedestrian got tickets.
However City Councilman John Drayman harshly criticized the get-up, calling it ``breathtakingly dangerous'' and a poor use of city resources.
Glendale police continued the crosswalk sting but the officer wore a more traditional outfit:shorts and a T-shirt. A city spokesman says the city is re-evaluating the use of costumes for enforcement
campaigns.
