Hettie Hosts South-East European Film Festival

April 29, 2010 | By Hettie Lynne Hurtes

The South-East European Film Festival (SEE Fest) opens tonight at the Goethe Institute in the Wilshire District. It's the only festival in the US to showcase films from the Balkans and neighboring countries. The fifth annual South-East European Film Festival screens cinema from the former Yugoslavia, Romania, Albania, Bulgaria, Hungary, and Greece. Films in the five-day festival reflect a wide range of genres. The festival ends May 3 with a business conference at UCLA and the LA premiere of the Turkish film, "A Step Into the Darkness," at UCLA's James Bridges Theater.
