Boeing Strike in Long Beach

Boeing workers at Long Beach's C-17 plant are on strike. Employees represented by United Auto Workers are picketing after last-minute contract negotiations broke down over medical and pension benefits late last night. The union representing about 17-hundred Boeing employees is none too pleased with the aircraft maker's last, best offer ... but a Boeing spokeswoman says the deal is a notch above industry standards. The strike is the first at the plant since the early 1990s.
