The first California Gubernatorial debate has been announced. The California Broadcasters Association and the Public Policy Institute of California will co-sponsor a 90-minute broadcast Oct. 5. All certified candidates for governor will be invited if they get at least 10 percent support among likely California voters in a major poll before Sept. 15. Attorney General Jerry Brown, the Democratic nominee, and Republican nominee Meg Whitman are the leading candidates.
The October debate will be divided into five topics, each led by moderators who are specialists in those subjects. You're invited to submit questions or ideas at Debate.
