Kagan hearing more low key

The Senate Judiciary Committee is getting ready to start. But it's a very different scene from the one last year when Sonia Sotomayor faced this panel. There are many fewer people in line for the public seats, much less tension in the room.

We'll see if that low-key approach bears out as the week goes on.

There were a few protestors out in front of the US Supreme Court building - students who want Kagan to live up to her own complaints that Supreme Court nominees are less than forthcoming about issues that matter.
