Chinese food on Christmas for Kagan

GOP Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina wanted to talk about terrorism and the rights of suspects. He began by asking about the attempted airline bombing on Christmas day. Solicitor General Elena Kagan stopped him right there, saying it's a case that might come before the Supreme Court, should she be chosen to serve there.

Graham said he just wanted to know where she was on Christmas. That got a laugh. But not as big as the laugh Kagan got.

She told one of oldest jokes in the book. "Like all Jews," she said, "I was probably at a Chinese restaurant."
