A sad state of affairs for southern California broadcast journalim

I covered the Carly Fiorina speech at Seal Beach's Leisure World Saturday morning.  It was a bit lonesome.

There were three or four TV cameras, a couple of print reporters, and me.  Not a single TV or radio reporter.

I know the news business is in trouble.  But on the weekend before the election, not to have electronic journalists covering California's Republican US Senate candidate is worrisome.  Very worrisome.
