Six out of ten underground pipes in America were installed before 1970. That's according to Paul Metro, Vice Chair of the National Association of Pipeline Safety Representatives. Metro told the National Transportation Safety Board that he's concerned about the lack of information about these older pipes. Some records are missing. And he's not sure he can trust the records that are out there.
