You see them all the time in Los Angeles - those bright yellow signs that direct actors and crew members to location shoots. They aren't so common here in DC. But yesterday, driving home from Capitol Hill, I spotted one. I did a double take to make sure it was what I thought it was. Yup. A film shoot around the corner. But unlike the signs in LA that often disguise the particular project, this one spelled it out loud and clear: "J Edgar." Apparently there aren't enough filming groupies here to require mysterious monikers on film shoot signs. It's a big deal movie: directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Leonardo DiCaprio. Haven't spotted either of them on Capitol Hill though.
