Forget the Easter Egg Roll on the White House lawn. I love the Peeps Contest.
Every year, the "Washington Post" invites readers to make dioramas using those neon colored sugar and marshmallow concoction known as Peeps. This year's winners tap into water cooler topics in the news: the rescue of the Chilean miners, security at airports ("TSA Agents Get a Peep Show") and topics of local interest like the frequent power outages and continuing problems with the escalators on the subway system. It's very clever. And you wonder - in a town that works such long hours - how'd they find the time to create these odd works of art?
