Oil up for a feel-good video via PBS Digital Studios. With his hypno-afro ways and happy little everythings, Bob Ross soothes in autotune while painting life lessons onto the blank canvas of your afternoon.

"The Joy of Painting," hosted by Ross, aired on PBS from 1983 to 1994. The mellow man who spoke gently and carried a giant palette, died in 1995 of cancer at age 52.

Ross is the second in PBS icon to get the remix treatment. "Happy Little Clouds" creator John Boswell released the Mister Rogers tribute "Garden of Your Mind" in June.
