Stevie Wonder is taking his classic double album "Songs in the Key of Life" on the road, but while the local music legend made the announcement at a Los Angeles press conference, he has yet to announce an L.A. tour date.

The tour is being described as a "live adaptation" of the 1976 album, which produced #1 pop hits "I Wish" and "Sir Duke," along with singles "Isn't She Lovely," "As" and "Another Star."

I Wish live

One reason L.A. may not make the list is that Wonder already performed the entirety of the album at his annual House Full of Toys Benefit Concert last year at the Nokia Theatre, which he's done for 18 years.

"This has been a fantasy of mine for a while," Wonder said at the time, according to Billboard. "I wanted to do something that would thank everyone for supporting my career and also thank God for me being able to do the music I do. And listening to this album again, it is amazing to me how relevant it is today."

The benefit show is held around Christmas time every year — there's no word if this year's event will include a "Songs in the Key of Life" reprise.

The influential album, released when Wonder was just 26 years old, has sold over 10 million copies and made number 57 on Rolling Stone's top 500 albums of all time. It's also been sampled and covered numerous times, including "Pastime Paradise" serving as the basis for "Gangsta's Paradise," "I Wish" being sampled for Will Smith's "Wild Wild West" and "Knocks Me Off My Feet" being later released as a single by R&B singer Donell Jones.
