George Clooney and his father were arrested Friday at a protest in Washington D.C. outside the Sudanese Embassy. Clooney, with organizers Amnesty International and United to End Genocide, the Enough Campaign, aim to draw public attention to the crisis in the Nuba Mountains, and call for swift action from world leaders to prevent an even larger-scale humanitarian disaster. Protesters accuse Sudan's president of blocking food and aid from getting to the hundreds of thousands of people.
The public attention piece is sort of working. The people are demanding his mugshot.
