Two dead at topless club shootings on Sunday

Investigators are attempting to determine whether a shooting at Snooky's topless bar on Sunday night was justified, and if the incident was tied to another shooting that evening.

Sheriff's deputies say an unruly patron who was ordered to leave Snooky's returned with a shotgun and was fatally shot by a security guard in the parking lot of the Lancaster club around 11 p.m.

The patron was pronounced dead at the scene, and the guard was detained for questioning. "The security guard had a contact with the patron and assessed an immediate threat," said Lt. Richard Daniels, reports NBC LA.

About 80 miles away in Harbor City, a gunman eluded capture Sunday night after shooting and killing a man in his 20s at the Fantasy Gold strip club.
