Local gas prices dropped on Thursday for the 17th straight day in Los Angeles county and Orange County.
The price of a gallon of self-serve regular shed a whopping eight-tenths of a cent overnight and now pumps for about $4.27.
In Orange County, the average price dropped 1.1 cents making $4.24 the magic number per gallon.
The Lundberg Survey, which monitors 2,500 stations across the country, suggests that the price of gasoline nationwide may have peaked, notes Encino Patch.
In the past two weeks the average price of gas in the greater Los Angeles area dropped at total of seven cents.
