Detectives and dogs are searching the Olinda Alpha landfill in Brea again for the bodies of two boys believed to be killed by their father. The missing mother's stabbed body was discovered Friday at the Los Angeles County coroner's office.
Arlet Hernandez Contreras and her sons (2 years old and 4 months old) went missing last month. The 31-year-old mother's stabbed body had been unidentified since it was found under a tarp in an industrial area on April 25.
Contreras' boyfriend, Shazer Fernando Limas, was arrested Thursday by the California Highway Patrol following a chase that shut down Interstate 5 in both directions. He is suspected of killing the three.
Officials searched the dump last week without finding any evidence in the case. Monday's search will continue throughout the day, said Orange police Sgt. Dan Adams.
UPDATE: Monday's search of the Brea landfill was postponed. Police did not have access to the cadaver dogs they needed, according to CNS.
