About 150 guests are focused on joining President Barack Obama Thursday night for a dinner fundraiser at George Clooney's Studio City home. Most of us are more keen on knowing how the president is getting there. Councilmember Paul Krekorian of the second district clued us in on Obama's stay.

He is scheduled to land in LAX at 6 p.m., and will be transported through the Valley via helicopter and motorcade.

Laurel Canyon Boulevard and connecting streets north of Ventura Boulevard will be delayed or closed from about 5 to 8 p.m. Residents who live south of Ventura in Studio City will need to show a current photo ID for home access. According to the LAPD, local access to the area will be virtually sealed off from about 8 to 10 p.m.

Krekorian does not expect Ventura boulevard to be closed to traffic, but neighborhood street closures nearby may cause delays.

The president leaves Los Angeles Friday morning, after staying the night in Beverly Hills.

Good luck with traffic, folks.

Red line demarcates where delays will be. Shaded areas provide traffic info about the rough vicinity. Click on any of these things in the map for more information.
