Metta World Peace explains why he just learned about holidays

Ron Artest #37 of the Los Angeles Lakers - now legally named "Metta World Peace" wears a wig to resemble baseball player Manny Ramirez.

Laker forward Metta World Peace would probably still be playing basketball this Memorial Day, but that was not meant to be. 

Instead of taking three-point jumpers and hustling for loose balls, the NBA star, formerly known as Ron Artest, today acknowledged to his 38,122 followers a detail about Memorial Day he never knew before. 

I just found out the difference between religious and national holidays..I was a math major.. History , reading etc..were my bad subjects

The Laker fan favorite went on to tweet, "I learned more today about memorial day than I learned in school. Never listened in history class..."
