Los Angeles Kings fans rally in front of the Staples Center before the start of Game 6 of the 2012 Stanley Cup Final. A large crowd is expected to line Figueroa for the championship parade and rally on Thursday.
Free tickets to the Los Angeles Kings rally on Thursday went faster than L.A. Kings captain Dustin Brown's sons could drink chocolate milk from the Stanley Cup. The L.A. Times reported that all 18,000 tickets for the Staples Center event, released to the general public at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday evening, sold out the same night.
Ticketless fans can still participate in the celebration, but from the sidewalk. The championship-winning team will parade to the Staples Center from Figueroa St. and 5th St., starting at 12:00 p.m. People are allowed to line both sides of Figueroa to watch the 30-45 minute procession.
