$5 million worth of marijuana nabbed in Hacienda Heights pot bust

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s investigators have recovered an estimated $5 million worth of marijuana from two grow houses in Hacienda Heights.

They arrested 42-year-old Zhichi Xu of San Gabriel on Tuesday for possession of marijuana for sale.

Xu is in jail, where he was booked for investigation of possession of marijuana for sale. Bail is set at $100,000.

Elaborate marijuana grow systems were discovered and more than 1,400 marijuana plants have been recovered.
Southern California Edison estimates the grow houses used an estimated $125,000 worth of stolen electricity.
