Rep. Darrell Issa sits down for an interview with AirTalk's Larry Mantle at the 2012 Republican National Convention.

Darrell Issa is so wealthy that even losing $80 million in his overall net worth only affected his ranking of richest members of Congress by one spot in Roll Call's annual list.

The Republican representative from Vista dropped from being the second-wealthiest congressperson last year to number three this year. With a net worth of merely $140.5 million, Issa was leapfrogged by Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts, whose worth is $198.65 million, according to the newspaper who compiles the list based on annual financial disclosure reports filed by members of Congress.

Proving that everything really is bigger in Texas, Rep. Michael McCaul stands alone atop the congressional list with a net worth of $305.46 million. McCaul was already wealthy, but his wife Linda, the daughter of Clear Channel's CEO, is also quite rich.

Californians also haven't done too badly. With an estimated net worth of over $43 milion, Sen. Dianne Feinstein came in 9th on the list. Other well-to-do members from the Golden State include House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, who ranked 13th, Diamond Bar Rep. Gary Miller, who came in at 19th place, and Rep. John Campbell of Irvine, who appeared on the list at a respectable 39th place.

How much must you be worth to be the 39th richest member of Congress? $8.9 million will do the trick. According to Roll Call, Rep. Miller listed no debts, which will help keep him on the list.

Correction: An earlier version of this story said that Feinstein had an estimate new worth of $43 million instead of total net worth.
