A crane worker was hospitalized Wednesday after a crane toppled off a wall at a West Hollywood construction site, NBC Los Angeles reports.
The crane operator reportedly rode the crane down as it fell, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. He suffered a serious leg injury.
Following the crane falling over, it remained supported by its boom on the level below.
The accident occurred at 375 N La Cienega Boulevard, between Melrose Avenue and Beverly Bouelvard. The site was possibly an apartment building construction site, according to the L.A. Fire Department.
