A film premiere at Hollywood's Vine Theater got out of hand Saturday night when some began throwing bottles and other items at passing cars. Police say they dispersed a crowd of several hundred that had taken over a stretch of Hollywood Boulevard.

The screening of Thrasher Magazine's "Bake and Destroy" film drew a crowd of several hundred, NBCLA reported.

Los Angeles police said they issued a modified tactical alert around 9 p.m. Saturday night after a rowdy crowd began throwing bottles and other objects at the police and passing cars.

NBCLA reported that police rushed the crowd, which quickly dispersed. The station tweeted an aerial photo of the scene.

The Los Angeles Times reports there were no reports of arrests or injuries.
