Four people were wounded at USC Wednesday night when shots were fired at a Halloween party near the campus center, LAPD has told KPCC.
The incident took place at about 11:30 p.m. outside Tommy’s Place, a concert venue on campus, according to the USC journalism program's website Neon Tommy.
The site reports that, according to the LAPD, one individual was critically injured when he was shot in the buttocks.
USC said police took at least one suspect into custody at around 1:30 a.m., according to the Daily Trojan.
The school issued a campus-wide security alert following the incident.

The violence at USC came shortly after an earlier shooting at a crowded area in Hollywood left at least three injured, bringing Halloween festivities along Hollywood Boulevard to an abrupt end and snarling traffic in the area for miles.
