Investigators have detained a suspect in a Pasadena house fire that killed two men Thursday.
Firefighters say a deadly blaze at a Pasadena home Thursday was intentionally set and a person of interest has been detained.
The early morning fire killed two men and gravely injured a third.
Lisa Derderian with the Pasadena Fire Department said an investigation showed the fire was intentionally set and one of 17 men who survived the blaze was detained.
Pasadena police Lt. Diego Torres said the man was detained Friday morning and is still being questioned.
Derderian said officials are not releasing how the fire was started because they don't want to jeopardize the investigation.
Derderian said the fire did an estimated $750,000 damage to the home and $25,000 to contents.
She said the house was not licensed through the state or Pasadena Fire Department to be a group home.
