Firefighters use a ladder truck to extinguish a fire at a Burbank tobacco store early Friday morning.

UPDATED 7:42 a.m.: Firefighters have knocked down the flames. They are still at the site looking for hot spots. Arson investigators are at the building to try and determine what sparked the flames.

PREVIOUSLY: Firefighters are working to extinguish flames that are consuming a large tobacco store in Burbank Friday morning.

The fire started at about 3:30 a.m. at Wholesale Giant Inc. near the Bob Hope Airport. Authorities said it's too dangerous for crews to fight the blaze from the inside. Flames are reported to be shooting through the roof of the building.

The store, which sells cigarettes and other tobacco products, has lost the roof and appears to be a total loss.

No injuries are reported and the cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
