A former Southern California high school teacher has pleaded guilty to charges she had sex with two male students. Gabriela Cortez admitted she had intercourse with the minors.

The Pasadena Star-News reports that Cortez, 43, entered pleas on Monday to six felony counts of unlawful sexual intercourse.

Cortez is free on bail and is scheduled to be sentenced in January. The judge says he will await a probation report before deciding on a sentence.

She taught Spanish at Roosevelt High School in East Los Angeles, and was placed on leave after her arrest in February.

Prosecutors said Cortez had sex at her Montebello home with the two male students, who were 16 and 17 years old at the time.
