Clothing giveaway for L.A.'s neediest becomes a holiday season tradition




The National Council of Jewish Women's Annual Clothing Giveaway provides close to 85,000 items of donated clothing to needy individuals and families. About 5,000 people are expected to show up for the clothing distribution and the accompanying community resources fair.

When: Sunday, Dec. 2, 8:30a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Where: 543 N. Fairfax Ave., Los Angeles (one block south of Melrose at Clinton Street.)

Attendees may receive clothing and connect with organizations including: NCJW/LA Women Helping Women Community Counseling and Support Services, Council Thrift Shops, Clinica Romero, Jewish Vocational Service, Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, People Assisting the Homeless, Sojourn, Peace over Violence and the cities of Los Angeles and West Hollywood.
