Strong winds cause power outages for over 10,000 in the greater LA area

Several significant power outages have been caused Tuesday, Dec. 18 by strong winds. These include 2,700 without power in Monrovia and 7,800 in Torrance.

Power lines are down in Encino, according to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, leaving 600 without power there, while 2,100 are without power in South L.A.

Crews were on scene in Encino, but there was no estimate when power would be restored, Gale Harris of the DWP said.
