NWS: 'Astronomical tides' and other weather warnings issued

A number of watches, warnings and advisories were issued by the National Weather Service on Wednesday for areas of Southern and Central California including:

• Coastal Flood Advisory
 
• High Surf Advisory
 
• Wind Advisory
 
• Special Weather Statement
 
• Hazardous Weather Outlook

Cold temperatures, gale-force winds, snow, beach flooding, and "astronomical tides" are expected in some spots across the region. 

Potentially hazardous conditions could begin Wednesday night and continue through the weekend.
