LAPD manhunt: Profiles of wanted murder suspect Christopher Dorner, shooting victims

Police continued their search for ex-Los Angeles police officer Christopher Jordan Dorner Thursday afternoon. Here are details about Dorner and the victims of shootings he is suspected in.

  • From La Palma, Calif.*

  • Found shot to death Sunday night at an Irvine parking structure inside the car she shared with Lawrence

Victim: Riverside Police Officer Michael Crain

  • Fatally shot after 1:30 a.m. Thursday
  • Officer was sitting in a police cruiser, waiting at a red light. He was shot by about a dozen bullets
  • 34 years old
  • An 11-year veteran of the Riverside police force
  • Had a son and daughter, aged 10 and 4 respectively
  • His funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at 10:30 AM, at The Grove Community Church in Riverside.

  • Shot and critically wounded after 1:30 a.m. Thursday
  • Officer was sitting in a police cruiser, waiting at a red light
  • 27 years old
  • Underwent surgery early Thursday
  • Expected to make a full recovery
  • Police are not releasing victims’ names due to threats Dorner made to family members in his ‘manifesto’

Victim: Unidentified LAPD officer 1

  • Shot at in Corona near the Magnolia Avenue exit of I-15
  • Was protecting an individual threatened in Dorner’s manifesto
  • Identity has not been released

Victim: Unidentified LAPD officer 2

  • Shot at in Corona near the Magnolia Avenue exit of I-15
  • Was protecting an individual threatened in Dorner’s manifesto
  • Bullet grazed his or her head
  • Identity has not been released

Accidental shooting victim: Margie Carranza*

  • 47 year old woman*
  • Shot by LAPD Thursday morning
  • Injured when glass from truck windows cut her hand
  • Was delivering Los Angeles Times newspapers
  • Mistaken identity?
  • Was inside of a pickup truck at the 19500 block of Redbeam Avenue in Torrance along with her mother

Accident shooting victim: Emma Hernandez*

  • 71 year old woman*
  • Mother of Margie Carranza, who was also in the truck
  • Shot by LAPD Thursday morning while delivering newspapers in a pick-up truck
  • Shot twice in back
  • In stable condition 
  • Was inside of a pickup truck at the 19500 block of Redbeam Avenue in Torrance
  • "Tragically, we believe this is a case of mistaken identity," Chief Beck said at a news conference.

?Victim: San Bernardino Sheriff Deputy Jeremiah MacKay*

  • Was called to the scene of a carjacking Tuesday at 2:22 pm. The assailant was described as looking like fugitive Christopher Dorner
  • Followed suspect to a cabin near Hwy 38 and Glass Rd. where they engaged in a shootout.
  • Was shot and taken to Loma Linda Hospital
  • Pronounced dead at 2:24 p.m.

Correction: Early reports stated Margie Carranza was shot in the hand. Her hand was cut by broken glass after the truck she was delivering newspapers in was riddled with bullets.
