A new app spilling beach-access secrets of the rich and irritated could be washing ashore in Malibu this summer.

LA Observed reports that the app is based on their popular three part series detailing Malibu's secret accessways and beaches posted by Jenny Price to the Native Intelligence blog:

They're gorgeous beaches, and the public owns big pieces of them...it'd be nice if you didn't feel like you have to bring property maps, a lawyer, and a copy of the California constitution...to use them.

Despite residents' efforts to keep public feet off the fancy sand, the app "Our Malibu Beaches" may soon by available for the iPhone-carrying masses.

Kickstarter campaign to raise $30,000 by the end of May is underway. If the goal is reached the app will be released immediately, for free, all summer (and work to quickly release an Android version would also get moving):

Every beach in Malibu has huge sections open to the public. And a lot of them are as deserted as they are beautiful...Our app shows you exactly where each public access point is. It helps you park. It even walks you down each beach – house-by-house – to find the best spot for your towel on the dry sand...
