  • Bee Alert: Thirsty honeybees have become aggressive toward visitors at Cottonwood Spring, Cholla Cactus Garden, Jumbo Rocks Campground, and Keys View. More »
  • Rattlesnake Canyon Remains Closed: To provide additional time to mitigate the vandalism, Rattlesnake Canyon will remain completely closed to the public until further notice. More »

THIS LAND IS MY LAND

California keeps good company in the DOI's visual collection of public lands.

In the past week the site's profiles have included "gold at the end of the rainbow" in Gates of the Arctic National Park, massive lightning in Colorado's Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Smoky Mountain ridges of Tennessee and North Carolina and the Tularosa Basin dunes of New Mexico.

Currently, the DOI is inviting your public land images for a project called "Summer in America's Great Outdoors":

We're asking folks to submit their favorite photos from their visits to America's National Parks, Wildlife Refuges and other public lands. Let's show everyone the diverse range of activities one can do on America's public lands...
