In the cluck of controversy, a political activist organized a new-style love-in called "National Same Sex Kiss Day" encouraging couples to kiss at Chick-Fil-A on Friday night at 8 p.m.
The Atlanta-based fast food chain's CEO Dan Cathy recently ruffled feathers with his statements in opposition to gay marriage.

WRBL News 3 and CNBC report that Donald A. Perry, the Vice President of Corporate Public Relations for Chick-Fil-A, has died.
The CBS affiliate in Georgia says Perry died Friday morning of a heart attack, according to Ross Cathy, a relative of Chick-Fil-A's CEO.
The chicken chain has been roasting in the backlash of the CEO's recent comments on gay marriage. A protest at the controversial Hollywood location is scheduled for Aug. 1.
