City Engineer Gary Lee Moore was named interim general manager of the Information Technology Agency.
The City of Los Angeles’ top engineer was named interim general manager of the Information Technology Agency today.
Gary Lee Moore will replace Randi Levin, who announced her resignation last month. Levin will stay on with ITA for an additional 60 days as a contractor.
In his role as city engineer and general manager of the Bureau of Engineering, Moore is responsible for more than 800 architects, surveyors and engineers. He will take over ITA on Aug. 14. Because this is an interim appointment, it does not require approval from the city council.
“Gary Lee Moore has proven himself to be a dedicated community servant with his years of experience as an engineer in various capacities for the city,” said Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. “He is very capable and has the managerial skills necessary to deliver our ITA services on time and on budget.”
