A young woman is dead and her brother and another man injured after a street race went awry in Westminster, and police say they are still looking for one of the drivers.

CBS Los Angeles reports that the crash occurred Thursday around 5 p.m. after 19-year-old Jorel Dayoan, with 18-year-old sister Jessica Dayoan in the passenger seat, decided to race his red Toyota down Hoover Street against another person driving a pickup. But Jorel lost control of his vehicle just south of Hazard Avenue and hit a gray Honda Accord head-on.

Jessica was pronounced dead at the scene. Jorel was taken to UC Irvine Medical Center where he was treated and released. The driver of the Accord, who was not identified, was taken to Western Medical Center with serious injuries, police said.

According to reports, members of the Dayoan family, who live in Westminster, hurried to the crash site to discover the tragedy that had befallen the family.
