Friends of Victor McClinton hold on to each other to show support during a candlelight vigil held December 27 at Pasadena City Hall.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office has charged two young men Wednesday in connection with the Christmas Day shooting death of Victor McClinton.

McClinton, director of The Brotherhood Community Youth Sport League in Pasadena, died amid the crossfire of a car-to-car shooting. He had been welcoming guests outside his home.

Prosecutors charged Larry Darnell Bishop Jr., 20, with capital murder in McClinton's death and with the attempted murder of a second man. That victim, allegedly Bishop's intended target, was driving when he was shot and crashed into a light pole. Bishop faces enhancements on the murder charge for allegedly shooting from a vehicle, committing a murder for the benefit of a street gang, and possession of a firearm by a felon.

A second man, Gary Aurthur, 20, faces charges of acting as an accessory after the fact.
