Hey John,

Been working on a series for HuffPost’s LA Section called “Creating Community in L.A.”

Latest entry is about the small but mighty Society of Singers, which helps down-and-out warblers with health insurance, transportation and the like.

Now I’m hearing from jazz musician friends who don’t feel the same love: Tough to get gigs, poor treatment by some club owners, not much communication. Maybe jazz players tend to be loners, but there’s gotta be a way to get them harmonizing!
