Violin Master Class here at KPCC!

This is very cool. When we started thinking about all the things we could do in our new Crawford Family Forum, I imagined interviews, forums, town hall meetings, debates, movies, and maybe even a variety show, but I never envisioned the event that’s coming this week. It sounds very cool.

From the news release:

Pasadena, CA- In partnership with 89.3 KPCC, the Pasadena Symphony and POPS presents special guest artist and distinguished Pasadena Youth Symphony Orchestra alumni Jennifer Frautschi in a master class. Local young violinists will perform brief excerpts and solos for Frautschi, who will then offer the youth instruction and coaching. This event offers an invaluable learning opportunity for the performers as well as unique musical insights from the world-renowned violinist. Ms. Frautschi brings years of concert and performance experience back to her hometown, where she will perform the Beethoven Violin Concerto with the Pasadena Symphony on May 15, 2010.

The class is Thursday, May 13, from 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Admission is FREE but you need to reserve a space and you can do that here.
