The last time we reported on photographer Nick Stern, he took part in a spirited debate with John Rabe on the merits of digital photography apps like Instagram and the like. When he isn't waxing eloquent about the state of photojournalism, Nick Stern's also an amazing artist, too. His latest series takes inspiration from Banksy, the ubiquitous British street artist. In You Are Not Banksy, Stern takes some of Banksy's most iconic and surreal spraypaint and wheatpaste based works and brings them to life using photos--the result is usually an even stranger, more fixating work of art.

Stern has prints for sale on his website--and rest easy, none of the photos were taken with Instagram.
