Camille Hahn, Leon Leyson, and grandchild, at Leyson's home in Fullerton. Leyson, the youngest of 1,100 Jews saved from the Nazis by Oscar Schindler, died Saturday, January 12, 2013, in Fullerton, Calif. He was 83.

Word's come through that Fullerton's Leon Leyson--the youngest survivor on Oskar Schindler's list died Saturday in Whittier from Lymphoma. He was 83. Last year, Off-Ramp host John Rabe was enough to get a long, sitdown interview with Leon--whom Rabe said was "one of the best men I've ever met."

If you haven't heard his story--and believe me, it's worth hearing--we've reposted the audio from John's interview on this post. You'll be missed, Leon.
