In partnership with KPCC, The Project presents Up-Rooted Youth Poetry Slam & Showcase on Friday, September 17, 2010. Each poet will have the opportunity to present one poem that best represents their cultural background. A special guest panel of judges will score each participant to determine who will take home the title of the 2010 Up-Rooted Grand Slam Champion.

Following the poetry slam, the showcase will feature award-winning original poetry performed by the two time regional champions Inland Empire Youth Team.
